Coach Lv has been a life long athlete and fitness enthusiast. She began her love of sports and fitness, at the age of 13, by playing lacrosse. Realizing she had a passion for sports, Coach Lv continued to play women's lacrosse, though her high school years, and eventually the NCAA. After playing lacrosse, at the college level, Coach Lv moved to San Diego, where she found her second passion...coaching. Coach Lv went on to become the head coach of the Carlsbad High School Women's Varsity Lacrosse Team. During her time as a head coach, for Carlsbad High School, Coach Lv lead her team, from a four year strait loosing streak, to three years of consecutive playoff births, and eventually winning a North County All Conference team title.

Within her first year in San Diego, Coach Lv met her husband Will, a Force Reconnaissance Marine. Super impressed by his abilities to adapt, improvise, and overcome, she began training and working out with him and his buddies. Because she is very competitive, she would even go as far as go on long runs/races with his buddies to show off that she can "hang" with the dudes just to impress her hubby. Couple years later Will introduced LV to CrossFit and functional fitness and was even certified on his base. In 2008, after seeing her husbands amazing results, Lv began her functional fitness journey. She lost 15 pounds, became stronger, faster, and was impressed with the fact that she was able to do more than 5 pull-ups after being an athlete for many years and barely being able to perform one.

Currently, Lv Owner, L2 CF Certified, and a mom! Having overcome the struggles of an unprepared C-section, hormonal changes, immune deficiencies, Lv is honored to be able to pass on her passions for coaching, mentoring, and inspiring others to achieve their fitness goals. She believes she has the gift and ability to partner in anyone's fitness and life journey. Her love for this sport, caring for others, wanting to see others succeed is ultimately what has driven her to start Built By Lv.
